I'd have to agree to a point, but it's the best and most original sci-fi in a long time.
P.S. I love you - Very good film, and definitely a chick flick. But it's got romance, and comedy. Overall it gets an "A".

Across the Universe - Excellent. Musical. Orgy of Beatles Songs.
This movie was outstanding, it's the best musical I've ever seen. It takes you through Vietnam War, a war torn America, immigration, love, drugs, sex, and yes, rock and roll. There is also the start of "Jo-Jo", who is none other than Jimmy Hendrix. The majority of the songs are Beatles songs played perfectly with the situation. Hands down, the best musical I've seen to date.
The ten - hilarious spin on the Ten Commandments. Paul Rudd is your host, has a sexy miss Jessica Alba in it, and host of other funny people. Go rent it, or buy it, you wont be dissapointed.
I'd agree , Cloverfield is a recommended see . It is Blair Witch meets Godzilla . Very good special effects , some tense moments , harrowing escapes ...BUT.... the entire movie is shot through the perspective of a camcorder . I was seasick 5 minutes into the film . I like small doses of handheld work like in Saving Pvt. Ryan but not a whole movie .
Mr Brooks - I normally hate Kevin Costner, but I'll give him a pass on this one thanks to his final slaying.
On a different note, damn I hate that [censored] Dane Cook.
The Mist - Thomas Jane is a great actor, I loved him in the Punisher. So, when he made the statement "Now you see why I'm not doing the Punisher 2", I was thinking to myself, this is going to be bad-ass. Well Thomas Jane is an idiot, and should've stuck with the Punisher 2. It was never intense, it was never scary, no action, nothing. Just another one of Stephen Kings short stories, that is a failure. Don't get me wrong, some of his movies have been great, but this one sucked.
